Many businesses and charities in Vietnam have donated million medical items to the American people in support of the anti-COVID-19. On August 7, The Embassy of Vietnam in the US presented 10,000 face masks from EcomNet company to Maryland state.
Cooperation between 2 countries’s localities
At the ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to the US Ha Kim Ngoc voiced his hope that the face masks will contribute to containing the spread of COVID-19 in Maryland. He emphasized that the assistance demonstrates the friendship, cooperation. This also includes mutual support between Vietnam and the US and joint efforts in battling the pandemic. He thanked the US government for sharing information about epidemic research and providing medical supplies. They donated 100 ventilators to support the treatment of COVID-19 patients in Vietnam.
Receiving the donation, Maryland Secretary of State John Wobensmith affirmed that this was a practical result of the increasingly deep cooperation between the two countries’ localities. Moreover, the local administration will effectively use these face masks.
Both Ambassador Ha Kim Ngoc and Secretary John Wobensmith expects more cooperation between the two countries’s localities in the future. Especially among enterprises to boost the economy, society, and improve the consequences of the COVID-19 crisis. Besides, Ambassador Ngoc also asked Maryland authorities to continue creating optimal conditions for the Vietnamese community of about 30,000 people in the state.
The two sides also thanked to Mrs Ella and Mr Cuong, Representatives of EcomNet in US, to donate the face masks. EcomNet warehouses located in Virginia and California, United State. Furthermore, their medical products quality has passed the stringent standards in the world. They include FDA Certification, CE Certification, ISO 13485: 2016 Certification.
